Business centre keeps automotive company’s expansion plans motoring

A major automotive parts supplier has chosen SEGRO’s Kings Norton Business Centre (KNBC) as the location for its latest branch, bringing 35 new job opportunities to Birmingham.

Euro Car Parts is the UK’s number-one provider of car parts.  Kings Norton will be the company’s 98th branch nationwide.

The company has recently signed a 10-year lease for a 7,000 sq ft unit at 43, Melchett Road, Kings Norton. There is the option to install a mezzanine floor, increasing the amount of storage space.

Jane Leedham, leasing manager for SEGRO, said: “We are pleased that Euro Car Parts recognized KNBC’s potential when it came to choosing the location for its next branch. The company is also investing in Kings Norton as an area and creating new jobs, which is always a big plus.”

Steve Horne, logistics director for Euro Car Parts, said: “We chose KNBC for its great location and motorway connections. We take a lot of time to find buildings that have the specifications that will work for our initial opening plans, but have the opportunity to expand upon when necessary. The unit at KNBC fits our requirements perfectly.”

Kings Norton Business Centre is the premier business centre in south Birmingham, meeting the business space needs of a diverse range of companies. Located on a 24.3 hectare (60 acre) site, its local management team is able to cater for the needs of the occupiers from its on-site regional office. The estate is maintained on a structured basis providing a first class business and working environment, with tenants benefiting from 24-hour mobile security, CCTV coverage and consequential low crime rates. KNBC’s units are marketed by agents DTZ and Harris Lamb.
