LSH ranked top agent in Wales for ninth year

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has scooped two national awards in recognition of its work within Wales, positioning the commercial property consultancy as the top-ranked agency in the principality for the ninth year.

LSH is the only UK-wide agency to have offices in both Swansea and Cardiff and has earned the accolades of ‘Overall Regional Winner 2015’ and ‘Deals Regional Winner 2015’ in an annual awards competition organised by the industry’s top trade publication, Estate’s Gazette (EGi).

LSH Wales has retained both titles from last year, beating off challenges from other national and regional players in the market. The awards calculate deals volumes across all commercial property types and take results from an independent survey conducted by the EGi Research team.

Commercial property firms submitted their deals information for 2015 then judges reviewed the individual sectors of Office, Industrial, Retail and Leisure/Hotel agency, as well as activity in the Investment market and looked at the overall picture.

LSH Wales were clear winners for Office Agency deals and came second for Industrial Agency, winning the overall titles for the number of combined deals it handled.   .

“Once again we’re extremely pleased to have earned these accolades reflecting the role our team plays in the Welsh property market where we look beyond the obvious to deliver more for our clients whether investors, developers or occupiers,” says Lee Mogridge Head of LSH in Wales.

“In 2015 LSH handled over two million sq ft of transactions in Wales alone helping to shape the business landscape through our knowledge of local markets backed by the national expertise of the wider LSH business,” he adds.

LSH which has 30 offices in the UK and Ireland and employs 1400 people nationally was the overall industrial winner with the company as a whole ranked in second place.

Significant transactions handled by LSH in 2015 in Wales include the investment acquisition of the 50,000 sq ft Primark retail premises in Swansea together with the sale of the 200,000 sq ft Alberto Culver factory to Dr Organic.
