Jon Leedham, Head of Midlands, South West and Wales, said: “David joins a very successful team in Birmingham which has been responsible for some of the biggest investment deals in the city in the last year, including The Green in Solihull. I am confident his breadth and depth of experience will be of great benefit to all our clients and will complement the strong talent that currently exists in the team.”

Commenting on his appointment, David Smeeton said: “Cushman & Wakefield is one of the leading advisors in the region and I am looking forward to developing our strategic investment advice to clients at a time of exciting and dynamic growth.”

Jason Winfield, Head of Investment Agency UK & Ireland, added: “We continue to grow our Investment Agency team across the UK and David’s appointment follows the appointment last year of Justin Quibell in Birmingham, and the promotion of Andrew Gibson in Cardiff, as we grow the breadth and depth of our talent across the regions.”

Cushman & Wakefield has begun the year with an influx of talent across the country. These include the appointments of Ian Thompson, a former Director of the South West Regional Development Agency to its UK Public Sector Advisory team, and Adam Pyrke joining as a Director in the Planning team in London.
