J S Wright shortlisted for seven awards at industry Oscars

Aston-based mechanical engineering services specialist J S Wright has been nominated in an unprecedented seven categories for the 2016 H&V News Awards.

The annual Oscars-style event in London highlights and rewards excellence, forward thinking and the highest achievements across the UK building services industry.

J S Wright has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year, Building Services Contractor of the Year, Building Services Project of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Domestic Heating Contractor of the Year, Service & Maintenance Initiative of the Year and Training Initiative of the Year.

Voted Building Services Contractor of the Year for 2015, the company celebrated its 125th anniversary last year by securing its first £20m deal to fit out the Nine Elms Point residential development in London.

With offices in Bristol and London and more than 140 staff all directly employed, J S Wright achieved a record-breaking turnover of £34.5m for the 2014-15 financial year, and last year broke into the top ten list of UK services contractors for the first time based on contract value.

The awards take place on Thursday, April 21 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London in front of more than 1,000 guests from across the building services industry.

Founded in 1890, J S Wright specialises in the design and installation of mechanical services for the hotel, residential, social housing, student accommodation, leisure and commercial sectors.
