Solicitors bolstered by new arrival

Jemma Jones

The commercial dispute resolution team at a Shropshire law firm has been bolstered by the arrival of a new solicitor.

Jemma Jones has joined Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors in Shrewsbury as a specialist in dispute resolution.

She will deal with a wide range of disputes affecting both business clients and private individuals, including those relating to contracts, property and negligence, as well as agricultural disputes and claims for possession of residential property.

Jemma, who lives in Welshpool, said she was delighted to have joined the team at Lanyon Bowdler.

“I am looking forward to getting out and about, meeting people and helping them to settle any disputes they may have,” she said.

“I am experienced in working with clients to realise the best possible results – my job is to help people traverse often complicated legal situations, so they can get on with doing what they do best, whether that is running their commercial business, farm or simply getting on with their lives.

“I am from a farming background, so I am also looking forward to working with our agricultural team helping farmers deal with their commercial disputes.”

Jemma qualified as a solicitor in March 2012 and previously worked at another Shropshire law firm before moving to Lanyon Bowdler in January this year.

Brian Evans, head of the commercial dispute resolution team at Lanyon Bowdler, welcomed Jemma to the firm.

He said: “At Lanyon Bowdler we work with all kinds of businesses and individuals, helping them through any disputes they may become involved with.

“As well as general commercial disputes we also support our local farmers and growers, which is of course an important industry in our area. We are the panel firm of solicitors for NFU members in our region, and this demonstrates our experience in dealing with the farming community.

“We are really pleased to have Jemma on board, she will be a great asset to our team of experienced dispute resolution lawyers.”
