Dodds Brown sells Teesside office block to local finance firm

Teesside independent commercial property consultants Dodds Brown LLP has sold the freehold of an office block on Teesdale Business Park, Thornaby-on-Tees, to a local finance claims company.

Acting on behalf of the Official Receiver, and on a joint basis with DTZ’s Newcastle office, Middlesbrough-based Dodds Brown sold Churchill House, Pearson Court, Pearson Way, Teesdale Business Park, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 6QP, to Quickly Finance Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Previously housing the contact centre for Churchill Insurance, Churchill House is a 33,000 sq ft, self-contained, high specification, four-storey office block, with 184 on-site car parking spaces, in a prominent location on Teesdale Business Park, overlooking the central basin.

Quickly Finance, which manages claims for mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) and Packaged Bank Accounts (PBA), is relocating staff from its operations at Christine House on Teesdale Business Park and from Billingham into Churchill House.

Stephen Brown, Dodds Brown senior partner, who has worked in commercial property on Teesside for more than 30 years, says: “With its location on the stunning River Tees waterfront site, easy access via the A66 and A19, generous car parking and its on-site facilities, it’s no surprise that Quickly Finance saw the opportunity to consolidate its operations at Teesdale Business Park.

“The disposal of Churchill House further reduces the availability of high quality accommodation at Teesdale Business Park, particularly of freehold buildings, but there are still opportunities for organisations to rent and purchase space there,” continues Mr Brown who acts as agent for a number of properties on Teesdale Business Park.
