New recruits relish varied roles with local surveyor

The two latest recruits to Mather Jamie are both enjoying the variety of challenges they face as the local commercial property market continues to heat up.

Commercial Assistant James Moore and Graduate Commerical Surveyor Luca Capobasso, both of whom are from Nottingham and both graduated from or are still attending Nottingham Trent University, started in their roles at the Leicestershire surveyor in November.

“I got interested in the work because my brother is a surveyor and it seemed like a great career”, said Luca, 26, “and since starting here I’ve been out to so many sites and helped out with lots of evaluations.

“There’s a really varied mix of properties on the market right now, and it means no two days are the same, which I like.”

James Moore, 31, who is studying for a Masters in Building Surveying at Nottingham Trent University, said, “I’ve done a lot of viewings and inspections around Leicestershire, so I’m constantly on the move here.

“I have experience in the property industry as I worked for more than five years in the residential sector, but am enjoying the new challenge and gaining plenty of valuable experience and knowledge”.

Alex Reid, Commercial Director of Mather Jamie, said, “James and Luca are both valuable additions to our Commercial team. The local market remains extremely vibrant right now, and we appreciate their energy, commitment and fresh approach to their roles, which they are both settling into extremely well.”
