JLL has appointed three new members to its Planning & Development Consultancy team as developers step up activity in the Midlands.

The new members of the team are Chris Torbett, Darren Venables and Mary Jurado. All join as graduate surveyors and planners.

The now 11 strong team covers both the Birmingham and Nottingham offices and works closely with a number of JLL’s specialist teams across a range of sectors including industrial, residential, retail, leisure and public sector to maximise investment opportunities and deliver added value to clients.

Peter Leaver, director of the planning team in the MIdlands and based in Birmingham said:

“The new members are a welcome addition to help handle the surge in planning and development activity, resulting from new developments across a range of sectors, particularly employment, residential and leisure, and covering both the private and public sector.

“Our USP is the market intelligence contained within the wider JLL business and our ability to translate this in the planning and development advice and service we provide. We are embedded within the principal agency functions of the two offices and totally market facing.

“2015 has been an excellent year for us, with major instructions from Associated British Foods, Barratts, Birmingham City Council, Darwin Leisure, Education Funding Agency, Freshwater, HCA, HfT, Lidl, Meggitt, Nurton Developments, Skelton Group, St Modwen, Stoford, Warwick District Council and Wolverhampton City Council.”
