Bradford’s Kingfisher House set for refurbishment following property sale

APAM, advised by JLL and Eddisons, has sold Kingfisher House on Filey Street in Bradford to Overland Developments for over £700,000.  The vacant two storey office building, formerly occupied by RBS, comprises 35,000 sq ft of space.  Overland is looking to invest around £3 million to refurbish the building into a modern premier conferencing facility also suitable for exhibitions and large functions.

Richard Thornton, director in JLL’s office agency team who advised on the sale, said: “Kingfisher House is configured predominantly in an open plan layout with a variety of meeting and conference rooms and is set to undergo an extensive refurbishment. Overland has made a great purchase – the property has an exceptional level of car parking and is well located close to the inner ring road and walking distance of the Centenary Square.”

Sonny Sharma from Sharma Williamson, who acted for the purchaser, added: “Our research shows that there’s a lack of sizeable venues within the citywide region that have excellent transport links and plentiful on site car parking provision. We feel that Kingfisher House will help fulfil this demand in the market place.”
