Storage products group Storax has announced a major expansion of its Midlands operation.

One of Europe’s largest manufacturers and installers of static storage systems, its Bromsgrove outlet is remaining in the town but is now in much larger premises at 4E Sherwood Road in Aston Fields.

In a deal put together by Redditch property agents John Truslove, the business has moved to a 9,913 sq ft modern factory on a ten year lease, agreeing terms over the asking rent.

John Truslove director Ian Parker said: “It represents one of the biggest transactions in the area this year.

“It is a very prominent building featuring quality offices, warehouse and secure yard, with good links to the motorway network.”

Part of Portuguese group Ramada, Storax specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of racking systems.

Its range of products encompasses a wide variety of metal storage structures, from conventional pallet racks and shelving to free-standing buildings. The company’s Powerack and Ranger brands are European leaders in high density storage and are designed especially for cold stores.

Storax said it had outgrown its previous outlet.

A spokesman said: “With five times the warehouse space in our new Bromsgrove facility, we will be expanding our range of spares and racking.

“For maximum utilisation of space, Storax mobile racking is increasingly relevant in the drive for lower warehouse costs, giving every user a competitive edge.”
Storax enjoys a global presence in more than 60 countries.
