NHS Sleaford site goes on the market with £1.5 million price tag and Orchard House to be demolished

Orchard House at Greylees is to be sold on the instructions of NHS Lincolnshire. The former hospital building, which will now be demolished after staff relocated to new premises, is located a short distance to the south west of Sleaford and is set in 4.6 acres.

Hodgson ElkingtonLLP, chartered surveyors who are handling the sale say the site is eminently suitable for residential development.

“This is one of the best residential development sites to come to the market for a while and offers developers the opportunity to acquire a substantial site within the well regarded Greylees development,” said Dan Race, partner at Hodgson Elkington LLP.

The site is situated on the edge of the existing development, adjacent mature woodland and in a rural setting yet close to the A15 and A17 trunk roads and local facilities. The well regarded Sleaford Golf Club is located nearby and the site is adjacent the existing David Wilson Homes development which comprises a mix of privately owned 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes and town houses.

The site is being marketed with a guide price of £1.5 million.

NHS staff at Orchard House have relocated to other NHS Lincolnshire sites in the county.
