A leading fire alarm system and electrical contracting firm is planning an ambitious expansion programme with a move to larger premises in Staffordshire.

Morganrose Electrifire Ltd has moved to Unit 7F, Zone 4 – a 2,098 sq ft unit at Zone 4 Burntwood Business Park, which is owned and managed by London & Cambridge Properties (LCP).

It has signed a five-year lease for the premises, which is almost four times the size of its previous unit at Chasewater Heath Business Park, said managing director Ian Rose.

The company has three divisions: Morganrose Electrical, UK and European electrical contractors, maintenance, testing, design and commission; Midland Fire & Safety – UK and European fire alarm engineers, design, installation, supply and commission; and Midland Fire Online, which sells fire alarm and safety equipment.

“We wanted to stay in the area because of the accessibility to the motorway network and the majority of our staff live locally,” said Ian. “We’ve been impressed with LCP and how it has helped us to make the move to our new base. Once we’ve settled in properly, we will be looking at taking on new members of staff but it’s early days at the moment.”

Paula James, industrial lettings manager of LCP, said: “We work hard to establish good relationships with all our tenants from the outset, so after an initial inquiry about the availability of units, we helped Morganrose Electrifire find the right unit to continue its business but with an eye to future expansion.”
