Wakemans expands with five new appointments

National property and construction consultancy Wakemans has added five new staff to its professional team to service new clients and an increase in demand for services in the West Midlands and the South West.

Two senior Quantity Surveyors (QS), a recently qualified QS, senior Project Manager and a graduate Building Surveyor have strengthened the firm’s capabilities across its core services, working for national clients in the education, retail, industrial and hospitality sectors.

The new starters in the Birmingham office include, Dave Muirhead who has more than 25 years’ experience with a wide range of expertise across the public and private sector, QS John Kavanagh who has 8 years’ experience across a range of commercial and infrastructure projects and Lee Lloyd, a senior Project Manager and QS with experience of acting as Employer’s Agent, Contract Administrator and Fund Surveyor.

Alistair Smith is a graduate Building Surveyor that has also joined the Birmingham team. Alistair is working on a variety projects as he works towards his professional qualification with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

In Bristol Samuel Russell has joined the team as a QS. Samuel has a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management from the University of the West of England and four years’ experience of working on large health schemes, he will be working alongside associate director and manager of the Bristol office, Tony Hooper.
