Property management team expansion continues in 2012

GVA’s Birmingham-based Property Management team has been strengthened with the appointment of a new Associate and the promotion of another.

Rebecca Cosgrove has joined GVA as an Associate, having previously worked for Monmouthshire County Council, Warner Estate Holdings plc and Lloyds TSB. Barry Flint has been promoted to Associate, having worked at GVA for four years.

Rebecca has been recruited to account manage the Industrious portfolio, owned by Max Property Group plc. Her role at GVA involves overseeing the team that actively manage the portfolio, advising on the asset management and property management of the portfolio and driving it forward.

Barry has the responsibility for the management of several Midlands property portfolios, maximising asset return while minimising risk, together with providing medium and long term strategic advice on service charges for mixed-use developments. Barry also manages high profile developments in Birmingham city centre, such as Alpha Tower, Victoria Square House and Edmund House.

Christopher Hipkiss, director of GVA’s Property Management Consultancy team said: “The promotion of Barry and the appointment of Rebecca are as a result of the continued growth of our business and the portfolios we manage. We are hugely proud of our talented team and it is highly rewarding to be able to work on such high profile and complex property portfolios, across the Midlands region and beyond.”

The Max Industrious property portfolio comprises 1,200 commercial units, amounting to a total of 7.5 million sq ft of predominantly industrial premises in 85 locations.

GVA also continues to provide comprehensive property management services to the Brindleyplace estate, following the acquisition by Hines Moorfield in 2010. GVA has managed Brindleyplace and The Water’s Edge since its inception in 1994, which now equates to 92,900 square metres of office space and 9,290 square metres of retail, restaurants, bars, the Mint hotel, as well as leisure attractions.
