Tilstone attract Magna to Tramway

In September 2014 Tilstone Investments LLP completed the purchase of the 150,000 sq. ft. Tramway Industrial Estate in Banbury situated at Junction 11 of the M40 Corridor and sited adjacent to Banbury’s London to Birmingham Chiltern line Railway Station.

Tilstone’s plans to rejuvenate the Estate and to enhance the 10 unit scheme has seen immediate results attracting Magna Exteriors’ Sybex division to the Tramway Estate. Sybex is a manufacturing division of leading global automotive supplier Magna International which employs over 130,000 employees in 29 countries. Sybex’s clients include Bentley, BMW, Ford, Honda, Jaguar Landrover, Renault and General Motors. Sybex have agreed to take a lease on a total of 51,495 sq ft. Only unit 6 is now available and has been comprehensively refurbished comprising 14,000 sq ft and benefitting from a secure yard area.

Paul Makin, Tilstone Investments LLP comments: ‘We are pleased to have attracted Magna onto the estate; their business and enterprise is one we are very well suited to support and we look forward to working together going forward.’

Chris White, Managing Director of White Commercial Surveyors comments: ‘Tilstones purchase of the Estate came at a time when a number of units were to become available but the current shortages of stock in the M40 Corridor Region has resulted in the majority of the site being let prior to the implementation of our marketing efforts. One Unit remains and we expect this to be let relatively quickly in the light of current demand from industrial and warehouse operators’’

White Commercial Surveyors acted for Tilstone Investments LLP and Cushman & Wakefield advised Magna. Further information regarding the units at Tramway can be obtained via the joint agents White Commercial Surveyors and Lambert Smith Hampton.
