Dodds Brown, the largest independent commercial property consultancy headquartered on Teesside, has expanded its property management team with the appointment of a new Facilities Manager.

A fully qualified electrician and heating and ventilation engineer, Craig Parrish joins Dodds Brown in the newly created role from The Building Maintenance Company.  He will work closely with Richard Wilson, Dodds Brown’s Senior Associate Partner and Head of Property Management on all the maintenance aspects of the £70 million property portfolio which Dodds Brown has under management.

Mr Wilson said: “Craig’s appointment completes our property management team combining asset management, facilities management, property maintenance and accounts specialists all in one client focused team, and means we are the only property management team based on Teesside with these comprehensive skills in-house.

“Craig’s skills and technical knowledge will enable us to offer clients a complete facilities management package, including planned maintenance, project management and health and safety compliance. It will also give us and our clients an added edge when it comes to managing mechanical, electrical and electrical systems and negotiating prices with contractors.  As a qualified EPC assessor, he will also play an important role in helping our agency team prepare properties for the market and advising clients on energy efficiency improvements.”

Mr Parrish’s first projects will be to manage the refurbishment and fit out of two office buildings on Teesdale Business Park in Stockton and to supervise the extension of a car park for Barclaycard.

Having trained initially as engineering apprentice, Mr Parrish, 34, served with the 1st Battalion the Prince of Wales’s own Regiment of Yorkshire for more than six years.  He lives in Ingleby Barwick.
