Senior executives from companies in the automotive sector will be gathering at a special conference in Derby this month to discuss future trends and developments within the industry.

Looking ahead at the next five years, automotive specialists at leading law firm Geldards have teamed up with property and planning experts Rapleys and KPMG’s global automotive experts to host a conference dedicated to helping businesses prepare for challenges the future holds.

Jonathan Butler, joint head of Geldards’ automotive team, explained: “Driving any business forward, in any sector requires clarity of thought, careful planning and a committed workforce.

“For those businesses operating in the fast-paced automotive sector, a keen eye on future trends and developments is vital.”

The conference will take a look at the key legal, property and tax-related issues businesses face over the next few years, whilst also touching upon exciting technological developments affecting the way we manufacture, buy and sell cars.

Representatives from Geldards, Rapleys and KPMG will be joined by experts from Google who will look in-depth at the advancing technology and strategic information that will help automotive businesses push forward in the online world.

Jonathan added: “With new technology and online trading playing an increasingly important role in the industry, companies need to keep up to speed with new developments which could otherwise easily throw them off course.”

Taking place at Derby County’s iPro Stadium on Pride Park, delegates will be given the chance to end the conference with a VIP tour of the newly opened £28m Derby Arena development next door.
