Change of leadership for DTZ’s Scottish business

DTZ, a global leader in commercial real estate services, has announced that Stuart Dorward has been appointed Business Manager for Scotland, effective immediately.  Stuart will assume overall responsibility for DTZ’s offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, which service DTZ’s Scottish regional business and its global clients active in the region.

Stuart takes over the role from James Thomson, who will continue to lead DTZ’s Edinburgh office and focus on agency, development and consultancy work in the east of Scotland office market.

Stuart Dorward commented: “I am delighted to take on the role of Business Manager for DTZ in Scotland at an exciting time for the business. As the economy continues to recover, and with backing from the TPG consortium, we are in an exciting phase of development for our business, both locally and globally.  My role will be to capitalise on these opportunities and optimise our services to clients.”

James Thomson commented: “After nine years in the role, it is with great confidence that I pass the baton to Stuart, who will continue the work of growing DTZ’s business in Scotland. I will take the opportunity to refocus on our Edinburgh business and the burgeoning opportunities in the office market.  This is an exciting time for DTZ’s business in Scotland, and I will work hard to support Stuart in capitalising on these opportunities.”

Colin Wilson, DTZ Head of UK and Ireland, commented: “Scotland is a key element of DTZ’s growth plans in the UK, building on our core strengths to increase service lines and capacity.  Our Scottish Leadership remains firmly committed on delivering a market leading business, supported by our strengthening global successes. We are delighted that Stuart has accepted the role and thank James for his significant contributions over the last 9 years.”
