Cardiff quiz night raises £4,500 for local children’s charity

A quiz night organised by the Cardiff office of property and construction consultancy, Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (TFT), has raised over £4,500 for Tŷ Hafan, a charity supporting life-limited children, young people and their families.

The event, which took place on 15 April at Henry’s Café Bar in Cardiff, was attended by more than 130 people from Cardiff’s business community.

Quiz winner, Franks and Toms Architects, managed to snatch the title from four other close running teams.

A charity auction raised more than £450 for items, which included a signed Welsh Rugby Team 2015 shirt.

John Newton, Partner and Head of TFT’s Cardiff office, and host for the evening, said:
”This is our fifth annual quiz night and all have been a tremendous success in bringing together Cardiff’s business community to support important local causes. After a great evening of fun, we are extremely proud to have raised significant funds for our adopted charity, Tŷ Hafan.”

Tŷ Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families, throughout Wales, offering comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together.
