Rugby player Connor joins the squad at TeamJobs

Bournemouth RFC player Connor Scott is looking to create new opportunities ‘off the pitch’ – for recruitment specialist TeamJobs.

Six feet four Connor, 22,  joins TeamJobs following two years in construction recruitment, where he worked for national and international clients at senior management to director level.

A player for Bournemouth RFC 1st XV at National 2 Level, Connor is the latest addition to TeamJobs’ client development team, where he will be charging down new business opportunities and tackling high profile events, including the company’s quarterly HR forum and social media seminars.

Connor said: “I’m excited to join TeamJobs. It’s a young and energetic company which is really going places and I am looking forward to playing my part in that.”

TeamJobs is based at 30 Parkstone Road, Poole and handles all types of positions from short term unskilled roles, to highly skilled permanent roles.

Its client development team was born from a company restructure in 2012 when Managing Director Jason Gault took the bold step of moving away from the traditional recruitment model to create both a resourcing team and a client development team.

The resourcing team focuses on attracting and selecting candidates in the local area and in the case of the new hospitality and executive divisions,  across the UK, for a whole host of temporary and permanent roles.

Tina Perry, TeamJobs’ client development manager said: “I am delighted to have Connor on board to support the growth of the commercial team.

“He brings valuable experience – particularly with high level, permanent placements –  and seemingly boundless enthusiasm.

“I am looking forward to introducing him to our clients and the local business community in the coming months.”

Connor will also be working alongside Michelle Mitchell who has more than 10 years local recruitment experience.

Michelle will now concentrate her focus on developing relationships with local manufacturing and engineering companies.

TeamJobs MD Jason Gault said: “Like me, Connor is a keen sportsman and I have been very impressed by his energy and drive. He is going to bring added strength to an already thriving team.”
