St. Modwen gains planning consent for One Park Square at Longbridge

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has been granted planning consent for One Park Square, a striking headquarters building at the heart of its £70 million Longbridge Town Centre.

Aimed at a major corporate occupier, One Park Square will provide 105,000 sq ft of prime Grade A office space over four storeys and create hundreds of new jobs.

Floor to ceiling windows, will fill the building with light and maximise views of the three acre Austin Park and phase 2 of Longbridge Town Centre, which is currently under construction and will include the Midlands’ largest Marks & Spencer store and retail, restaurant and café space.

One Park Square will have its own dedicated car park offering nearly 150 space. Staff based at the building, and their clients and guests will benefit from outstanding road network connecting Longbridge to Birmingham City Centre and to other parts of the country via the nearby M5 and M42. Those arriving via train will benefit from Longbridge’s own mainline railway station.

Mike Murray, senior development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We’re very pleased that Birmingham City Council’s planning committee has followed the local authority planning officers’ recommendations to grant planning permission for One Park Square.

“This prime office space will create hundreds of new jobs and attract more professionals to Longbridge, adding to the thriving mixed-community we’re creating here.

“This is an ideal location for occupiers that need to be in easy reach of road link and public transport connections, and want to work in a high quality environment surrounded by amenities.”

St. Modwen aims to deliver 2,000 new homes together with employment and retail facilities to support up to 10,000 jobs at Longbridge over the next 15 years. The fast-growing Longbridge community has already seen a £300 million investment from St. Modwen, and the creation of 3,500 jobs, since regeneration began in 2005.
