CNS makes four key appointments as business continues to grow

Barry-based IT specialists Capital Network Solutions (CNS) has made four key appointments following a period of unprecedented growth due to several contract wins.

James Mutyambizi has been appointed as an Infrastructure Engineer to support the IT infrastructures of the company’s clients and recommend and implement improvements to their current setups.

The 31-year-old from Cardiff has gained eight years’ experience in IT having progressed from first line helpdesk based roles to third line support and team management.

Speaking about his new role, James said: “As CNS has a variety of clients with ever changing requirements, I am looking forward to the challenge of finding and implementing solutions to meet their demands. I am also looking forward to gaining more experience within the networking side of the business.

“Having worked on a contract basis for CNS previously I found the team friendly and great fun to work with and I like the fact that no two days are ever the same. They invest a lot of time in their staff which is clear to see in the positive work environment that they have produced.”

The company has also engaged Lee Simmonds as a Strategic Growth Consultant to develop new and existing commercial relationships and reform the product set and corporate marketing.

The 31-year old, from Caerphilly, previously held various sales and managerial roles before becoming a Server Message Block (SMB) Specialist.

He said: “I was initially attracted to this role as it provided me with a great opportunity to shape and influence the ongoing success of a growing business.

“For a successful company, CNS is one of Wales’ best kept IT secrets and my job will be to let the tech savvy companies of South Wales and the South West know we are here.”

University of South Wales graduate Oliver Generalovic has been appointed as a Cyber Security Engineer to work on CNS’ Government-backed cyber essentials scheme, which offers businesses a level of information assurance against the threat of cyber-attacks.

The 21-year-old from Abergavenny said: “I was first attracted to the role at Capital Network Solutions because it offered me the ideal field of work that I was hoping to get into.  After I did my research and discovered the certifications held within the company, I knew for sure I wanted to be a part of the business.

“The thing I look forward to the most is the opportunity to work with people who have had years of experience in this environment as well as expanding on my knowledge and learning new skills.

28-year-old Adam Bell from Newcastle has been appointed as a New Business Executive to generate new clients and contract wins for the company.

Adam formally served in the British Army for four years before gaining sales experience in telecommunications and IT.

Speaking about his new role he said: “I liked the family feel of the company and the relaxed environment that comes with it. I like that fact it’s a small company with the potential to grow exponentially, and I want to be a part of making that happen.”
