Southside is another major London win for CPBigwood

CPBigwood’s fast growing London office has been instructed by Investin Plc to manage Southside, a mixed use development close to the London Bridge railway station.

Southside is just 15 minutes’ walk from The City and comprises 59 high class residential apartments spread across two buildings with a further 26 shared ownership apartments situated in a third building. There is also 3,000 sqft of commercial space situated at ground floor level.

Residential service charge management partner Brett Williams said: “This is a very high spec development and we were appointed after a fast track selection process.
He said this was a fine example of CPBigwood’s ability to react quickly to client requests.

“In March we appointed Rupy Jandu as senior property manager for London and the South East, and have since recruited Louise Fassnidge as technical manager and Stuart Burridge as asset and compliance manager in the risk management department.

“This means we have a skilled team to take on complicated, mixed use developments, such as Southside, and can respond quickly to requests from our clients,” he said.

The London office, where former Leicester Tigers player Bill Drake-Lee is the lead partner, has continued to grow since CPBigwood opened in the capital in 2012.

The firm has just moved from offices in Naoroji Street to King William Street, Monument-London Bridge to cope with rapid staff expansion.

Bill Drake-Lee is leading CPBigwood’s business development drive in London and the South East.

Brett Williams said: “Bill’s property knowledge and experience is proving invaluable as he has a good understanding of complex budget structures and is thus able to assist developers at the set up stage.”

Already CPBigwood has had to take additional space at its existing base in Naoroji Street to allow for future growth.

Jon Burgwin from Investin plc said:
“The decision to appoint CPBigwood was, he said, ultimately an easy one”.

“They are clearly hungry and keen to establish themselves as serious competition in the London market as they already are elsewhere in the country”.

“We recognised this and the fact that they have the people with the skill sets to back up their proposition.

“We are pleased to have appointed CPBigwood and look forward to a fruitful working relationship with Brett and his team.”

The appointment follows a number of prestigious appointments including Admiral Quay in Southampton, Saffron Square in Croydon and Macaulay Walk in Clapham.
