Litton Property Group and Moto announce joint venture to deliver new East Midlands development

Litton Property Group has announced plans to develop a new commercial property scheme alongside the M1 motorway near East Midlands Airport.

Proposals are being drawn up for a prominent 3.9 acre site to include office, manufacturing, hotel and showroom use with the development being adjacent to the M1. The site already has consent for new access from the Finger Farm roundabout in front of East Midlands Airport.

A planning application is expected to be made in 2015 and the new buildings will be constructed to a high architectural standard, in keeping with site’s landmark status. The buildings will be clearly visible to the M1’s passing traffic and will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis.

Litton Property Group, based in Bakewell in Derbyshire, has formed a joint venture with the land owner Moto Hospitality, which is the UK’s largest operator of motorway services and already operates the nearby Donington Park Services.

Richard Squire, development director at Litton, said: “This is a rare opportunity for businesses to secure new property that will be seen by passing traffic on a busy stretch of motorway and near one of the fastest growing regional airports for both freight and passengers. We look forward to working collaboratively with our partners and all other stakeholders to deliver this project.”

Litton Property Group’s retained agents are Innes England and DTZ.
