Listed buildings prove popular for offices in Black Country

A Wolverhampton management company has acquired a Grade II Listed building in a six figure deal put together by property agents Bond Wolfe.

DLT Management (UK) Ltd has taken King Charles House, 2 Castle Hill, Dudley, and will be relocating there.

The firm has purchased the freehold and will make a significant investment modernising the property.

James Mattin, Bond Wolfe managing partner, said: “As well as moving in themselves, DLT Management (UK) aim to offer some of the most exclusive office space available in Dudley.

“This sale further highlights the increasing demand for not only freehold opportunities, but particularly Grade II Listed buildings with potential.

“This is the latest in a long list of listed buildings we have sold during the last 24 months and we are starting to see demand far outweighing supply as far as freehold is concerned.

“I am excited to see the end product once the purchaser completes their programme of scheduled improvements to what is a character filled building.”

King Charles House is listed because of its special architectural or historic interest, and incorporates Ionic columns, feature window arches and detailing.

The property comprises 4,791 sq ft over four floors.

The building has a rich history and was previously utilised as part of the Association of Conservative Clubs.
