DTZ continues to build planning capacity and capability

DTZ’s planning skill is continuing its national growth momentum in direct response to its rapidly expanding private and public sector project portfolio.

New town planning recruits in to the business include Claire Wilkinson, a Senior Consultant in the London office, and Claire Biddle in the Birmingham office, who joins as an Assistant Consultant. Claire and Claire, complement the addition of two Associate Directors in Manchester and Newcastle, and a Senior Consultant in Manchester over the past 9 months. James Donlon also joins the London office as a Consultant in October, growing the DTZ planning skill nationally to 24.

Mark Jackson has been promoted to Director to lead DTZ’s town planning offer in the Birmingham office.  Mark is currently advising on some of the largest planning applications and land promotions in the Midlands and is looking to expand the team in line with expected growth.

Such progress and success has placed DTZ’s planning capabilities firmly in the spotlight of the company’s UK growth strategy, which became the focus of the National Planning Skill conference held recently in Leeds. The conference brought together the expanded national planning team to define its 2014/15 business strategy and agree its new national Capability Statement.  At the heart of the conference was the value of DTZ’s town planning service to its clients.

Karen Charles, Planning Director comments: “The DTZ planning team is positioned at the front end of the development process and is central to the company’s market leading multi-disciplinary property service. As the Country heads into an exciting period of growth, I am proud to lead DTZ’s planning offer that is now stronger and better resourced to meet our clients’ requirements.  Our strategy for growth is well defined, and through working together across geographies and skill areas we can now offer high quality, commercially-minded planning consultancy advice across the UK.”

DTZ’s refreshed National Planning Capability Statement will be published during the autumn, reflecting its recent significant growth and success.
