Innes England does the double at East Mids Property Awards

Innes England is celebrating after doing the double at the East Midlands Property Dinner awards on Wednesday 25th September.

The firm was once again awarded ‘Agent of the Year’ capping a strong year for the property consultancy and reflecting the company’s continued success.

The firm also clinched ‘Deal of the Year’ after securing Derby’s biggest ever pre-let deal, which saw logistics giant Kuehne and Nagel take a 632,000 sq ft distribution facility to serve its Heineken contract.

Robert Hartley, managing director at Innes England, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won two awards, especially ones where competition was so fierce.

“We have had a very busy and productive year, securing a great deal of high profile work and strengthening the team with recent senior appointments including Stuart Waite in Derby and Jenny Clarke in Leicester.

“As a firm we are encouraged to see the sustained recovery along with a continued period of growth in the property market. These latest awards reflect the strength of the business and is also testament to the hard work being put in by the team to achieve the results and deliver deals for our clients.”

Innes England’s Derby office acts as local agent for international developer Goodman at its 150-acre Derby Commercial Park. The agency team secured the deal of the year, bringing Kuehne and Nagel (K&N) to Derby Commercial Park – fighting off competition from the new Formula E headquarters at Donington Park.

Nick Hosking, director at Innes England in Derby, said: “The K&N deal was hugely exciting, not only for Goodman and Derby Commercial Park but also for the city itself, reinforcing its status on the regional distribution map.

“Securing the £45m development was a significant achievement and saw the scheme fight of stiff regional competition. The momentum continues and we are currently progressing other deals at Derby Commercial Park with the scheme well positioned to attract regional interest from the ‘big shed’ market but also capable of accommodating smaller requirements from the city’s thriving local industrial sector.”
