Colliers International moves to West Regent Street, Glasgow

Global property advisers Colliers International has announced the relocation of its Glasgow office from 9 George Square to 2 West Regent Street.

Colliers has agreed terms with Kennedy Wilson to occupy a 4,381 sq ft suite on the 6th floor of 2 West Regent Street. Located on the corner of West Regent and West Nile Street, the light bright office provides modern Grade A space, in a building designed by RMJM Architects.

On the move, Tom Johnston, head of Colliers International’s Glasgow office, said: “Our new building will provide our Glasgow teams with a flexible and modern working environment. We worked closely with GHI and Haa Design to create a space which reflects our corporate strategy, with improved communication and interaction between all departments; whereby investment and business space teams are surrounded by professional services from our property management, building surveying, rating and valuation teams. We are confident this will benefit clients to ensure they get the most comprehensive advice and experience when working with us.”

The new office on West Regent Street is located in the city’s CBD adjacent to Land Securities’ recently completed Buchanan Quarter development, the prime Buchanan Street retail pitch and surrounding transport hubs. The area is also set to receive an additional boost as Mountgrange works towards completing its Grade A office and retail development in early 2015.

Douglas McPhail, head of Colliers’ Investment Property Management team in Scotland, added: “When the new Mountgrange development comes on stream it will be one of the first new builds in the Glasgow office market for nearly five years. It is certainly an exciting time for Glasgow and we are looking forward to being in the centre of it all in our new offices on West Regent Street.”

Tony Horrell, CEO for UK and Ireland, at Colliers International, added: “This latest move further demonstrates our strategy to provide an unparalleled working environment for our teams across the UK. The new space, with its high quality meeting rooms and creative breakout areas will further enhance communication between team members and departments, enabling our Glasgow office to better serve our clients in Scotland and throughout the UK.”
