Double whammy at Marchington Industrial Estate

Ceva Logistics has leased a 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m) unit at Marchington Industrial Estate, Staffordshire owned by Hortons.

The global supply chain management company acquired the premises to service a new contract with Rolls Royce.

CES (UK) Limited, part of The Parts Alliance group, has also recently taken 50,000 sq ft (4,645 sq m) of space at Marchington. Occupation was granted within three days.

Marchington Industrial Estate provides more than 1.3million sq ft of modern industrial/warehousing in 34 buildings, ranging from 300 sq ft (28 sq m) to 100,000 sq ft and more. The new tenants will share the site with National Grid and Wincanton, among others.

Melissa Wase-Rogers, associate director in the logistics and industrial agency team at the Birmingham office of CBRE, said: “Ceva’s unit only hit the market in May, and The Parts Alliance took occupation inside a week. This scramble for space demonstrates the lack of options for occupiers looking for good premises around 100,000 sq ft.”

Richard Norgrove at Hortons said: “Marchington is a beneficiary of the Midlands’ improving industrial market. We have been able to react quickly to various occupier requirements and have adopted a flexible approach to enable occupation to be taken quickly.”

CBRE, GVA and Kingston advised Hortons.
