A Cardiff based solicitors has been shortlisted for a prestigious national legal award.
Watkins & Gunn, which also has offices in Newport and Pontypool, is the only firm in Wales to be selected in the category of “Law Firm of the Year” at the Halsbury Legal Awards 2014.
The Halsbury Legal Awards made its debut in 2013 with a celebration of excellence in the law and legal profession at an exclusive and prestigious event in central London.
Endorsed with the Halsbury name, famous for its legal publications, and chaired by independent judges, the awards celebrate the values the legal community embodies and which are prized by the profession and wider community.
This is the latest of several accolades that Watkins & Gunn has achieved, having been winners of a Law Society Excellence award and being named in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, as one of the leading firms in the UK.
Watkins & Gunn was also recently awarded a £50,000 grant by the Welsh Assembly Government to create a new UK wide online eCommerce legal platform called Gateway2Law. The new service provides users with an extensive range of online legal services complete with payment facilities.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Grange, St Paul’s Hotel in London later this month.
