LCP appoints retail portfolio manager

Midlands-based London & Cambridge Properties (LCP) has promoted one of its senior retail asset managers as it continues to strengthen its presence in the sector.

LCP, one of the UK’s largest private owners of industrial, retail and office property, has appointed Jo Salmon as retail portfolio manager.

Jo, who lives in Hagley, West Midlands, will be responsible for the company’s entire retail and leisure stock, which comprises more than 175 retail sites, including eight shopping centres, across the UK.

The chartered surveyor, who joined LCP in 1997 following a period as valuation surveyor at Richard Ellis and before that in retail, where she gained considerable experience, will lead a team of retail asset managers from the company’s headquarters in Pensnett.

“Retail remains a vitally important focus for LCP and we are working hard to look for innovative ways we can grow and strengthen the portfolio,” she said.

“This is a great opportunity to build on the knowledge I have gained over the past 17 years and to lead the retail team into delivering some new prospects for the company while continuing to provide the highest quality of service to existing tenants.”

LCP has substantial retail holdings situated in town centre shopping schemes including the Wulfrun Centre, Wolverhampton; Churchill Centre, Dudley; Park Place, Walsall; and Aldridge in the West Midlands. In addition, The Concourse Shopping Centre, Skelmersdale, and The Hardshaw Centre, St Helens, are located in the North West and the Wellington Centre, Aldershot, in the South. Provincial holdings are located the length and breadth of the country catering for a wide range of independent and well-known high street names.
