Visionary commercial development ‘Vision Park’ launched today

Trebor Developments LLP launched their visionary new advanced business park today. The hi-tech site, which sits at the heart of Burnley’s Knowledge Quarter, was unveiled under the brand name ‘Vision Park’.

The high quality 5 acre (2.02 hectare) development, providing high quality mixed-use business space was launched at an Investment & Property Breakfast, at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall venue in Manchester. The event was attended by businesses and property industry professionals from across the north-west region.

Vision Park is being targeted to the advanced manufacturing, digital and knowledge based industries. Its unique location within Burnley’s Knowledge Quarter, adjacent to the Burnley College and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) education campus, will enable occupants moving onto Vision Park to take advantage of the knowledge transfer, skills, R&D in digital technologies and in particular the manufacturing and engineering excellence via the Centre of Engineering Excellence which is housed on the campus.

The park has been described as visionary, and one of the most exciting commercial developments in Lancashire because of the unique knowledge transfer opportunities and skills the site can offer.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor Developments LLP, said: “We were delighted when Burnley Council selected Trebor as development partner for this site. The unique location made the site of particular interest to us, not only does it sit at the heart of the Knowledge Quarter, it also sits close to excellent transport links, and has stunning countryside views across to the famous Lancashire landmark Pendle Hill”.

“Burnley has a growing reputation as a centre for manufacturing excellence with several world class advanced manufacturing businesses located in the town, who work in partnership to promote the town’s superb infrastructure and the proactive business support environment. So companies looking at Vision Park would be in good company”.

“Phase I of the park will see the development of an  Innovation Centre, which will offer flexible space for advanced manufacturing, R&D and offices from 500 sq.ft. to 10,000 sq.ft. on flexible terms, allowing occupiers the opportunity to thrive in a high quality working environment with like-minded businesses.”

Steve Rumbelow, Burnley Council’s Chief Executive said: “ Vision Park will provide a unique offer to advanced manufacturing and digital industries that can connect to the unrivalled manufacturing and robotic technologies in the adjacent education campus.”

“Burnley is becoming a regionally significant centre for advanced manufacturing, and we are creating modern business environments to attract growing business in this sector, which will benefit from being based amongst businesses at the forefront of advanced manufacturing”.

“Just this week we have manufacturing experts speaking at the International Festival of Business Manufacturing Summit in Liverpool, who were invited to speak and share Burnley’s excellence in manufacturing, as well as telling delegates about the wider Burnley offer as a great place to live and work.”

Burnley Council Leader, Mark Townsend said: “I’m delighted we secured a national developer to take forward the Vision Park. Trebor delivers niche business parks across the UK including the successful Malvern Hills Science Park, and I’m confident they’ll deliver a superb commercial development here in Burnley.”
