Apex Recruitment moves to capitalise upon buoyant jobs market

Positive changes in the dynamics and demographics of the Warwickshire jobs market have prompted one of the region’s biggest recruitment companies to consolidate two if its offices into one near Warwick – and take on new staff itself.

Apex Recruitment, which has been in business for 30 years with offices in the town centres of Leamington and Banbury, has moved to one larger office at Tournament Fields with the help of ehB Commercial, a development that has created a demand for more specialist jobs advisers.

The move has been triggered by greater use of social media – Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In – as a means of personnel getting onto the jobs ladder, and the surge in employment opportunities in Warwickshire and Oxfordshire created by local companies with a global reach including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) at Gaydon.

Head of marketing at APEX Recruitment Jennifer Kennedy said: “The recruitment industry has changed dramatically in recent years with a big surge in white collar roles among professionals who no longer walk into high street agencies, but seek jobs through social media on their laptops, tablets and SMART phones.

“The move has created a more dynamic space for us to help these large organisations find the right people and for us to recruit staff ourselves to meet the new demand – it is a very exciting time. The move has been great for us to all be in one space and this has sparked a catalyst of energy.  Our teams are working really hard to find the increasing number of roles in automotive, banking, finance and engineering, as well as the more blue-collar positions, including vehicle technicians and warehouse operatives,” she said.

Victoria Mawer of ehB Commercial said: “APEX Recruitment is a bellwether company – if it is doing well, the economy is in good shape. The move has proved a success for the business at a time of great change in the employment market – long may it continue to bring employers together with the right employees and further underline the success of the Warwickshire economy.”
