Aegon UK Plc commits to Exchange Quay

Aegon UK Plc has confirmed its commitment to Hunter’s Exchange Quay development by signing a new 10 year lease for a 4,140 sq ft office suite within Number 8 at the 433,637 sq ft office complex in Salford Quays.

The announcement follows the recent news that Hunter has submitted a planning application to Salford City Council to start its £10m investment into transforming the development with Grade A offices, significant external landscaping and public realm enhancements and a host of tenant facilities including a new restaurant, convenience store, Post Office, gym and management suite.

Aegon UK, who has been in occupation at Exchange Quay for many years, will be moving from its current base in Number 3 to Number 8 which will be the first of the six office buildings to be refurbished.

Our planning application has unveiled our plans for significantly improving not only the quality of office accommodation here but also the working environment for all our tenants and we look forward to retaining and attracting further occupiers in the forthcoming months.”

A host of high profile occupiers are located at Exchange Quay including Sage, Kin-Tec Electronics and Winning Pitch. Existing occupiers GAB Robins and CH Robinson have also recently expanded.

Exchange Quay’s six office buildings range from 26,151 sq ft to 116,684 sq ft. The development, which also boasts its own dedicated Metrolink tram stop, is strategically located just off Trafford Road which links Salford Quays to both Manchester City Centre and the major motorway networks via the M602.
