New home for Newport solicitors

South Wales’ solicitors, Everett Tomlin Lloyd & Pratt (ETLP) have purchased new office premises in Newport in deal secured by the Cardiff office of DTZ.

ETLP have purchased the freehold interest in 4,746 sq ft of space at 19-20 Gold Tops, an imposing, detached period office building with generous car parking. DTZ acted on behalf of the landlord, the Home Office.

The building was converted from a pair of Victorian, semi-detached residential dwellings to provide office accommodation arranged over lower ground, ground and two upper floors. The property is located is a short distance from Newport Railway station and the city centre.

Alex Easton of DTZ in Cardiff commented: “Gold Tops is an established business location on the fringe of Newport city centre and remains popular amongst professional practices including solicitors, surveyors and accountants. It will no doubt be great base for ETLP to grow its business.”

ETLP have been providing legal services to people and businesses in south east Wales since the early 1800’s. They employ around 40 staff in total across offices in Newport and Pontypool.

Ashley Harkus, Managing Partner at ETLP, said: “We are delighted with our new office. Having outgrown our last premises, we were searching for office space which could accommodate future expansion for the business and was, importantly, in a strong location for both our staff and clients.”
