Innes England deal comes up smelling of roses

Whittington’s Floral Supplies is uprooting and moving to larger premises in Leicester, in a deal secured by Innes England.

The Midlands leading property agent acted on behalf of its client, Industrial Property Investment Fund, to secure the 6,319 sq ft letting at 15 Chiswick Road, Freemens Common, to the wholesale florist supplier.

Whittington’s Floral Supplies specialises in silk flowers, wedding supplies and glassware. The wholesaler has operated in Leicester for 15 years and was previously located at the wholesale market on Aylestone Road.

Chris Samples of Whittington’s Flowers says: “These new premises will provide our operation with greater working flexibility and the move to Chiswick Road will greatly improve our ability to offer our customers a much larger product range with easier access.”

Peter Doleman of Innes England, who agreed the new five-year lease on stepped rental terms, says: “We are pleased that we have been able to secure the relocation for Whittington’s. Freemens Common remains a hugely popular location in view of its proximity to the city centre.

“This part of the estate is now fully let and Whittington’s will be alongside other successful trade businesses including Screwfix, Tooltastic, Travis Perkins and University of Leicester Print Works.”
