Kymin makes key appointment as it plots 2012 growth path

South Wales financial services business Kymin has made a key board appointment as the company looks to continue its steady growth in the New Year.

Financial adviser Lee Davies has become Company Secretary at Kymin Financial Services almost exactly two years after he first joined the burgeoning business.

Lee, aged 37, from Risca, joined Bridge Street, Newport-based Kymin having previously worked within Legal & General for 11 years, latterly in their compliance division.

Gerald Davies, Kymin Managing Director, said: “Lee has proved his worth to the company over the two years that he has been with Kymin joining us in November 2009. This key appointment to Company Secretary is confirmation and underlines Kymin’s policy of promoting from within the company.”

Lee, a keen mountain biker and mountain skier, who now lives in Cardiff, said: “I’m looking forward very much to getting to grips with this new challenge at Kymin. The business has experienced consistent growth and this has been particularly apparent over the past two years.

“I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to play an even greater part and fuller role, alongside my position as financial adviser, in helping Kymin grow still further over the coming months and years.”

Kymin Financial Services recently announced it had linked with Hancock Life and Pensions, the oldest established IFA in Newport, to create a new force in independent financial advice.

Hancocks, established in 1979 and with a workforce of eight people based on Chepstow Road, Newport, combined with Kymin which is the 49th largest IFA in the UK.
