Newark attracts expanding national occupiers

Two expanding national companies are welcomed to Newark following recent negotiations by Hodgson Elkington LLP chartered surveyors one to Brunel Park, to the east of the town and the other to the Fernwood Business Park, a high-specification office development situated two miles south of the town centre.

Totemic Limited, a company specialising in financial services has taken a 6,000 sq ft office at Halifax Court, Fernwood Business Park and BSS Group Limited, who supply plumbing and heating supplies to the trade have secured 5,000 sq ft at Telford Court, Brunel Park.

The news comes hot on the heels of the recent announcement by Gladman Developments of the opening of its new Fernwood Business Centre, a building offering traditional office space on flexible terms, which recently attracted four new occupiers including Amalgam Training taking the entire ground floor.

“We very much welcome BSS Group to Telford Court, part of the 44-acre Brunel Park site which is ideally and strategically located adjacent to the A1 and its junction with the A46/A17,” said Matthew Johnson of Hodgson Elkington, letting agents for Brunel Park.

“Both these lettings, achieved in difficult trading conditions, show the high level of commitment by businesses to the Newark market and in particular the strong demand that the Fernwood Business Park is generating”. Said Tom Elkington of Hodgson Elkington who are marketing the £13 million development at Fernwood.

“Even in  these extremely difficult market conditions we are confident, based on the current level of enquiries, that further lettings across Newark will be secured in the not so distant future,” added Tom Elkington.
