Wealth planners invest in new business venture

A group of experienced financial planners have joined forces to establish new wealth management company, Archytas.

Richard Edwards, Michael Williamson, Debbie Matthews and Kate Stewart, aim to build a unique venture focussed on client empathy and personal financial advice.

The company will provide wealth creation, financial stability and strategic tax planning advice to individuals, families and business owners.

Archytas is based at Brunel House in Cardiff City Centre and, in addition to the management team, has also recruited Chris Brandon, senior paraplanner, Emma Waugh, senior administrator and April Duckenfield, administrator.

The team has ambitious expansion plans. A series of seminars are already scheduled to provide the most up-to-date guidance in conjunction with local employment law firms and accountancy practices.

Archytas will differentiate itself from its competitors by staying at the forefront of the industry – by focusing on building and nurturing long-term relationships with their clients and supporting their specific objectives.

By providing a disciplined approach to making financial choices, they will support their clients in anticipating and adapting to changes faced throughout life.

Richard Edwards, managing director of Archytas, said: “Our vision at Archytas is to create a completely approachable, personable and professional service for our clients that has honesty and communication at its heart.

“We are extremely ambitious, with a strategy to build a scalable, sustainable business without compromising on quality. We are currently based in Cardiff, but operate throughout the UK, with aspirations to open further offices and to continue to build a highly motivated and knowledgeable team who share in our ethics and core values.”

Michael Williamson, based in Cheltenham, and Debbie Matthews, both directors of the company, will operate alongside Mr Edwards as financial planners. All are fully qualified and between them benefit from in excess of 35 years industry experience.

Kate Stewart, financial director, is in charge of managing internal financial arrangements and implementing the company’s strategic growth plans. With 30 years experience, 17 of those within the financial sector, Kate brings a wealth of energy and experience to the business.
