South Coasts’s award winning agency team expands

The South Coast offices of national commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), have expanded their Agency team with the appointment of Alexandra Maclean as a Surveyor.

Alexandra Maclean joins from Chichester-based firm, Henry Adams, where she was part of the Agency team and dealt with industrial, office and retail property transactions. She began her career as a property taxation analyst in Southampton advising clients on capital allowances and other tax relief. At LSH, Alexandra will join the nine-strong Agency team in working with some of the most prominent commercial property owners and occupiers along the South Coast.

Alexandra commented: “This is a significant career move for me, and I am looking forward to developing my professional skills as part of such an established and well-recognised national property player. The South Coast team’s reputation and expertise is highly regarded in the region, and its win of the ‘Most Active National Agent in Hampshire and Dorset’ accolade for five consecutive years from trade title, Estates Gazette, is testament to this. I aim to play my part in retaining this award.”

Graham Holland, Head of LSH’s South Coast offices, added: “Alexandra’s appointment closely follows that of George Mellery-Pratt in our Retail team, Tina Wright in our Lease Advisory team, and Mike Ambler into our Building Consultancy department. To secure property deals, win prominent instructions and retain the most influential owner, occupier and public sector clients in the region, it’s imperative that we recruit the best people into our team.”

During the last 12 months the South Coast team has completed over 180 transactions, spanning office, industrial and retail properties. This equates to more than 3.8 million sq ft of commercial space in the region, including some of the most high profile deals along the M27 corridor. These include the £3.8m purchase of Avalon, a 110,000 sq ft warehouse in Eastleigh, for Oceanic Estates, the investment sale of Solent Gate in Fareham on behalf of AXA, the letting of 50 000 sq ft at Trilogy to Contega for SEGRO, and the recent opening of the 55 000 sq ft Peer 1 datacentre at Langstone Tech Park, Havant, on behalf of LaSalle Investment Management.

Graham concluded: “To be able to report such positive and high profile results is a real achievement for the team, won despite the challenging economy and recovering market. LSH recognises that its people are its most important asset to maintaining this success, and Alexandra’s appointment is a further step to ensuring we do so on the South Coast.”
