V Formation’s Sue appointed Regional Director by PM Forum

Sue Carr, Director of Midlands marketing consultancy V Formation, has been appointed Regional Director for the East Midlands by the professional services membership organisation, the PM Forum.

Sue has been an active member of the PM Forum’s East Midlands’ regional committee for several years.

As Regional Director, she plans to utilise her extensive professional services marketing background, expertise, insight and understanding as she explains:

“Marketers in every sector, especially within professional services, are increasingly faced with pressures on budgets and resources. Marketing can be a lonely place and role in some firms and the PM Forum provides a great network for like-minded marketers, and indeed professional advisers, to get together, share best practice, swap experiences, and network.

“The PM Forum has a loyal and strong membership in the East Midlands and as Regional Director, I intend to build on the ten-year legacy of my predecessor Lynne Morgan who retired from the role in December, to raise awareness and interest in the Forum. The committee is working hard to develop a topical and engaging events programme, designed to keep marketing professionals up-to-date on the latest trends and challenges affecting them, by giving them useful, timely training sessions on a variety of marketing and business development topics.”

The 2014 programme kicks-off on the 4th March with a session hosted by BDO at its Nottingham offices, with guest speaker Helen Hammond of Elephant Creative.

The PM Forum East Midlands Committee also includes Pauline Nicholls of Deloitte, PR for the PM Forum East Midlands Leah Bradley, Trish Burnell of MHA McIntyre Hudson, and Matt Coleman of Shakespeare’s.

Sue has been a Director of V, based at BioCity in Nottingham, since September 2012, and works with an extensive network of professional services specialists and organisations, lifescience businesses, business services providers, SMEs and family businesses. V Formation created and project manages the Midlands Family Business Awards, a not-for-profit initiative underwritten by Nottingham’s The Wilson Organisation.

The consultancy provides strategic marketing consultancy and PR and communications support to businesses. It was created by Hilary Campton in 2007.

The PM Forum was formed in 1996 and is the world’s largest and fastest growing community for professional services marketers with over 4,500 members in accounting, law, property, financial services and management consulting firms. Dedicated to raising standards of marketing across service industries and enhancing the credibility of marketers, the PM Forum is a membership organisation which shares knowledge and best practice.
