New FSEW appointment to encourage international growth

Leading international freight forwarders, Freight Systems Express Wales (FSEW), has made a key new appointment as it looks to expand its global offering.

Keith Davies, from Swansea, has joined the firm as International Sales and Development Manager tasked with helping FSEW’s international division grow as significantly as its domestic sales.

Keith has worked in the freight industry for over 20 years and until recently held a sales development role for Schenker Bristol, before returning to South Wales to join FSEW. In his time in the industry he has gained extensive multi-modal sales experience for both exports and imports, ideal for a role at FSEW.

Keith said: “The freight industry in Wales is still developing and I’ve been aware of FSEW for some time and have watched them with interest over the years.

“When the opportunity presented itself to come and join FSEW I jumped at the chance. Although FSEW is a relatively new firm, it has unique freight services and big ambitions, and I’m looking forward to the new challenges that the job will present.

“South Wales is a very competitive market but there are certainly opportunities out there and I’m confident my experience will support the air, sea, road and rail freight services FSEW can offer local companies.”

Geoff Tomlinson, Managing Director of FSEW said: “With so many years of experience in the business, I felt that Keith was the perfect candidate to build on our international sales.

“I’m very optimistic about 2014 and what it holds for the business and Keith is very much part of those plans.”

FSEW, based at the South Wales International Freightliner Terminal in Wentloog, is South Wales’ leading independent intermodal freight forwarder providing transport and delivery services world-wide.
