International law firm DAC Beachcroft commits to Nine Brindleyplace until 2019

Leading international legal practitioner DAC Beachcroft has demonstrated its commitment to Brindleyplace, renewing its lease at Nine Brindleyplace until 2019 and extending its space in the building.

The company has agreed to take a further five years on its current 25,054 sq ft demise, which encompasses the building’s third and fourth floors and will be taking a further 4,341 sq ft on the second floor.

Regional Senior Partner, Martin Cannon, said “I am pleased to have come to an agreement on this and to end a period of uncertainty for the staff in the Birmingham office. Taking the extra space at Nine Brindleyplace will allow us to create a new client suite and have some overflow space for our very successful insurance claims practice.

“DAC Beachcroft remains committed to Birmingham and to providing a pleasant, sustainable and cost-effective home for all our people here. Brindleyplace is ideally situated in the heart of the city and we are very happy to be staying.”

A part of the award-winning Brindleyplace estate, which is owned and operated by Hines Global REIT and Moorfield Group (Hines and Moorfield), Nine Brindleyplace occupies an enviable position, fronting on to Broad Street, one of Birmingham’s busiest arterial roads. The building also benefits from access onto the beautiful Oozell’s Square, one of the city’s finest urban public spaces.

Jeremy Marchant, Moorfield, said: “Nine Brindleyplace offers the ideal mix of location and design, providing an exceptional contemporary office environment suitable for a number of occupiers.

“We are naturally delighted that DAC Beachcroft has opted to not only extend its lease but also take additional space on the building’s second floor and we are looking forward to building on our existing relationship.

Rajeev Rajput, Hines, said: “As a destination, Brindleyplace provides occupiers with accessible, convenient amenities by day and a multitude of dining and entertainment options once the working day is done.”

Alongside the space at Nine Brindleyplace, DAC Beachcroft will also retain its 10,000 sq ft of serviced office space at Three Brindleyplace on a short-term lease until 2016.
Brindleyplace boasts an extremely diverse mix of commercial tenants, including Deloitte, RBS, Deutsche Bank and GVA. A full range of bars, restaurants and leisure amenities is also available across the estate, including Café Rouge, the Handmade Burger Company, Bannatyne’s Health Club, and Bank bar and restaurant.
