Johnson Fellows helps rise of Fallen Angel Bakery stores

Chartered surveyors Johnson Fellows is helping the number of Fallen Angel Bakery stores rise as it embarks on an ambitious acquisition programme.

The Birmingham-based retail specialist has been appointed to identify suitable sites for new stores for the bakery, which sells delicious American-style cupcakes as well as a range of freshly made soups, sandwiches and paninis.

Launched in 2010 by David Scott, former managing director of Druckers Vienna Patisserie, Fallen Angel Bakery currently has stores in Harborne and Solihull.
The bakery’s New England-inspired interiors are regularly used as a set for BBC lunchtime soap Doctors and its cupcakes are sold in Harvey Nichols Birmingham’s espresso bar.

The ambitious company now plans to open five stores per year for the next decade to build up a portfolio of over 50 stores. This will include a prime positioned Birmingham city centre store and a number of busy Central London locations.

Chris Gaskell, partner at Johnson Fellows, said: “We are very pleased to be a part of Fallen Angel Bakery’s exciting expansion plans. The company’s upmarket brand and quality products have proved to be very popular in the Birmingham area and we are confident there is a strong market for a new baking experience across the UK.”
