GBR Phoenix Beard Office Agency team hires Jon Hinton

GBR Phoenix Beard has recruited Jon Hinton as an Associate Director in the Office Agency team. He joins from Lambert Smith Hampton in Birmingham.

Jon’s appointment comes as GBR Phoenix Beard has maintained its leading position in the Birmingham office market, following a string of successful recent transactions and having secured a number of new high profile instructions over the last 12 months. The consultancy has been brought on to market No 1 Colmore Square and Two Snowhill which complement existing involvement with some of the city’s flagship schemes such as 11 Brindleyplace, 45 Church Street and Bank House. Jon will be responsible for leading many of the instructions undertaken by Richard Fletcher-Brewer who is relocating to Hong Kong in the autumn.

Jon is looking forward to the opportunities with the independent property consultancy:

“GBR Phoenix Beard’s Office Agency team is recognised as being one of the leading players in the market. I was particularly attracted to joining an independent agency as it gives me the opportunity to play a significant role within the Midlands office market and the ability to make a real difference to the business.”

Head of Office Agency, Ben Thacker commented:

“Jon’s knowledge of the West Midlands’ office market is outstanding. A prerequisite for this appointment was a proven track record in the region together with the ability to integrate with our clients and our well established team. We are delighted that he has decided to join us. Jon will be a real asset to our award winning team, and has already hit the ground running. We intend to recruit again before the end of the year as the market continues to improve. Richard has been an invaluable asset and played a key role in our success during his four years with us. We wish him every success in his new global role.

Nine months in and 2013 is looking to be another good year in terms of our agency business. Looking ahead there will be an increasing shortage of quality office stock in the medium term, especially in light of renewed confidence in the market. We are ideally placed to take advantage of these changing market conditions for the benefit our clients.”
