PR agency tops up its jar with new recruit

Communications agency jamjar PR has expanded its team with the appointment of Jodie Phillips.

Miss Phillips, 23, from Bridgend joins the Cowbridge-based agency as senior PR and social media executive.

Having worked in two Cardiff-based PR agencies since graduating from Cardiff University with an English Literature degree, Miss Phillips has built up a wealth of experience across a range of sectors including retail, consumer, housing and B2B.

Taking the lead on jamjar PR’s online PR offering, Miss Phillips has achieved qualifications from The University of South Wales (formerly the University of Glamorgan) in SEO and social media.

She said: “jamjar PR has quickly made its mark in Wales for its innovative and cost-effective communications solutions. It has already built up an enviable client base and has been successful in winning business following competitive tenders against established PR agencies. I’m excited to be joining the team and look forward to playing my part in helping the agency go on to achieve great things.”

jamjar PR was established in 2012 by award-winning communications specialist Lyndsey Jenkins following a decade working in the PR industry in Wales. Over the past year, the agency has built up an impressive reputation for delivering creative, multi-platform communication campaigns to clients including Brewin Dolphin, COS Group, Radisson Blu Hotel, Traveline Cymru, Greenaway Scott and Watkins & Gunn Solicitors.

Lyndsey Jenkins, managing director of jamjar PR, said: “Over the past year, I have worked hard to establish a strong brand and client base for jamjar PR. Following a successful and profitable first year in business, I am delighted to be in a position to expand, move into offices in Cowbridge and take on a new recruit. Jodie is a talented, enthusiastic and creative PR professional. Her online expertise will undoubtedly benefit the agency as we look to take it forward to the next level.”
