Deal duo at Southampton trade park

Acting on behalf of ING REIM, the South Coast team of national commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), has secured two new tenants at Southampton Trade Park.

New industrial and trade counter space at units 4 and 12 has been let to Auto Windscreens and Novosail respectively. Trifords Limited, part of the Markerstudy Group of companies, recently acquired from the liquidators of Auto Windscreens Limited certain trading assets, including the right to use the trading style Auto Windscreens. It has signed a new 10 year lease on 3,120 sq ft, at a rent of £24,960 per annum.

In addition, Novosail, the company behind a new concept for cleaning and finishing sails of all kinds, has relocated from Wellington Park in Hedge End to take 9,825 sq ft at an annual rent of £64,000. Its move to unit 12 marks the acquisition of the largest remaining building on Southampton Trade Park.

Adrian Whitfield, Director in LSH’s Southampton office, commented: “Since ING REIM purchased the scheme, we’ve seen high levels of occupier interest and, subsequently, strong take-up that has fuelled a successful year at the scheme. All remaining units are now under offer, which is a positive result for the landlord as well as the wider industrial market in the region which is clearly improving.”

Southampton Trade Park is a new industrial, warehouse and trade counter development, totalling 63,000 sq ft and comprising 12 separate units from 3,120 – 9,825 sq ft. Existing tenants include Tile Giant, iwood Flooring and Crown Paints.

LSH is appointed jointly with Jones Lang LaSalle to market the scheme.
