Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks appoint new UK champion for the professional services sector

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have appointed a new Head of Professional Services to work with customers across the UK.

Sue Carter has held the role on a part-time basis since 2011 while based at Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Nottingham, but will now take on the UK position on a full-time basis.

With more than 30 years’ banking experience, 12 in the professional services sector and with significant experience in legal services, Sue takes on the role at a time of major change for the legal landscape with regulation playing an increasing role in shaping the sector.

Stephen Green, Head of Sectors at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, said: “Sue brings a wealth of experience to the role, making her the perfect candidate to work with new and existing professional services customers across the UK.

“The professional services sector is hugely important to the British economy. It remains a priority area for us and one for which we will continue to provide financial support.”

Sue Carter said: “With a solid grasp of the challenges and opportunities within the sector, I am looking forward to devoting my time to enhancing our services in this vital industry.

“By providing a dedicated service to specific sectors we are helping to meet business demand while increasing the impact of our services on local communities.”

Sue Carter is one of eight national leaders who will support business growth within the identified key sectors of agriculture, transport, food & drink, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, hospitality & leisure and wholesale, retail & franchising.
