Mids charity moves to new home ahead of 20th anniversary

Safeline-move-1A specialist charity based in Warwick has moved into larger premises in time for its 20th anniversary.

Safeline is a leading charity which supports people from across Warwickshire and Coventry who have been affected by sexual abuse and rape and has relocated to second floor offices on New Street in Warwick town centre.

The company has been assisted in its move to a new home by commercial property agents Reeves & Partners, which has offices in Leamington and Coventry.

Safeline chief executive Lindsey Lavender said the charity had outgrown its premises and said the additional space has already proved to be extremely useful.

“We needed a slightly larger home and looked at a number of offices before meeting Reeves & Partners,” she said.

“The new base they found is a great fit for us, as we now have three counselling rooms, as opposed to two, more office rooms, and also a large open plan area.

“Being in a central location also brings with it added benefits so on the whole we’re really pleased to have moved here, and in time for our 20th anniversary next year.”

Last year Safeline carried out more than 6,000 hours of counselling, through its support network of seven staff and 60 volunteers who operate at outreach sites across the area.

Stuart Gregory, director at Reeves & Partners, said he was pleased to find Safeline a new home with the extra space the charity needed.

“Safeline has been providing fantastic service to people across Coventry and Warwickshire for nearly 20 years and we’re pleased to have been able to find them larger premises in a great location,” he said.

“The team now has use of more counselling rooms and office space and at a very attractive rate. We wish Lindsey and the team all the best in the new space.”
