IT firm to create jobs after move to Cedars

An IT support firm plans on creating jobs after becoming the latest firm to move to a new sustainable office development in Normanton-on-Soar.

deeserve Ltd, which is run by Darren Wilders, intends to create four jobs in the coming months following its move from Castle Donington to Unit 2 at Cedars Office Park on Butt Lane, Normanton-on-Soar. This is after it agreed a three-year deal with commercial property agents Mather Jamie.

This high quality barn conversion scheme forming part of the Paget Estate comprises six units ranging from 358 sq ft to 1,060 sq ft, with energy efficient credentials including photovoltaic panels generating electricity, underground clean air ventilation with heat recovery and underfloor heating generated through a woodchip biomass boiler fuelled by timber from Paget Estate woodlands.

Darren Wilders comments, “After originally starting the business in 2010 we moved to an office in Castle Donington but had got to the stage where we needed more space, particularly if we were to expand and create new jobs. Cedars Office Park is extremely easy to get to, there is a really good feel about the development and its location is very convenient for us, allowing us quick access to the M1 and the main cities in the region.”

He added, “Both Mather Jamie and the landlord have been extremely helpful with our move and we’ve been able to convert our large office into two with partition walls. This has allowed us to design the office specifically for our business needs and help house our bespoke monitoring system which is proving to be a huge success and valuable service for our business so far.”

Amy Johnstone at Mather Jamie, says, “deeserve Ltd is the latest company to make the move to Cedars Office Park after recognising the site’s green credentials and its ideal location, just five miles from Loughborough town centre, 7 miles from the M1 and within easy reach of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.

“This rural eco office scheme has seen traditional farm buildings which were no longer suitable for modern farming practices converted into six energy efficient offices in an attractive rural setting. Units from 358 sq ft to 1,060 sq ft are available to suit a varied range of businesses. There is a good level of parking on site to suit the needs of businesses wishing to be based outside of Nottingham’s workforce parking levy zone.”

Energy efficient credentials at Cedars Office Park include a central woodchip biomass boiler providing underfloor heating, photovoltaic panels generating electricity and underground clean air ventilation with heat recovery. The buildings have used reclaimed materials combined with modern insulation methods to enhance sustainability and the woodchip boiler and photovoltatic panels have been installed to offset the energy / carbon footprint.
